Ten years after its introduction, the Pennsylvania Prehospital Voluntary Readiness Program received a well-deserved revision to meet patient needs, industry expectations, and maintain a cutting-edge approach towards pediatric care. The Prepared for Pediatrics – EMS program rolled out on July 1st and includes much of the legacy PVRP while introducing components such as an increased focus on education and competences, an expansion into Family Centered Care and Disaster Readiness, and an introduction of Performance Improvement into the now reduced three levels of readiness. Are you and your EMS agency ready to care for children in 2025?
