Rhonda Carl holds a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience, Biology, and Chemistry from King’s College and a BSN from Wilkes University, she built her clinical foundation starting as an ER Nurse at LVH–Hazleton (2018) and Geisinger St. Luke's (2021). In December 2022, she transitioned to Stroke and Chest Pain Coordinator at LVH-Schuylkill to focus on system-level quality and process improvement.
In this role, she led program recertifications with the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and the American College of Cardiology as a Certified Chest Pain Center, championed hospital-wide quality initiatives, and initiated a local trial at Schuylkill now being expanded enterprise-wide due to its success. She was honored to receive the 2024 Heart and Vascular Hero Award for a real-time safety intervention that prevented patient harm, as well as the 2025 Friends of Nursing Neuroscience Award following the rapid tPA treatment and long-term recovery care of an outpatient.
