Monty Littlejohn

Monty was born in Queens, grew up in the Bronx, and has lived in every borough. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Buffalo and practiced Cardiac Rehabilitation. He took a hiatus from medicine and became a science/math teacher in Spanish Harlem, working with at risk youth. He then taught at the Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, where he led projects such as the Go-Kart race of 2004 in order to teach force in motion. He decided to return to the world of medicine and obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Buffalo in 2010. He completed his General Surgery internship at Morristown Memorial Hospital in 2011, completed his general surgery training at Metropolitan Hospital in Spanish Harlem in 2018. During residency, he completed a 2-year Burn Fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in 2015. He then completed his Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School 2020. He now resides in the City of Scranton, where he is an Acute Care Surgeon specializing in Trauma, critical care, emergency surgery and Burns.
