Matthew Brett

Matt Brett is currently in his 35th year in emergency services. He began with his volunteer fire company where he remains an active member today, having served as the Fire Chief for the last 15 years. Matt works for the City of Allentown Fire Department as Assistant Chief division of EMS. Matt is heavily involved in Urban Search and Rescue. He is a member of the Lehigh County Special Operations Team and serves as a FEMA Medical Specialist for PA CO3. He holds technician-level certifications in all aspects of technical rescue, including Confined Space, Trench, Rope, Structural Collapse, Vehicle and Machinery, Technical Search, Water, and Hazmat. Matt shares his expertise as an instructor for an agricultural rescue company specializing in Grain Bin Rescue and leads courses in Wilderness Medicine. He also contributes to EMS community by sitting on state steering committees tasked with developing advanced protocols for tactical, special operations, and wilderness medicine.
