Herbert Schiffer

Bert is the Medical Director for TowerDIRECT, Tower Health, as well as multiple agencies across Montgomery and Chester Counties. He started EMS as an EMT in Chester County with the Parkesburg Fire Company. He studied to be a Paramedic at St. Jopes in Lancaster and then helped to start the regions first Fire Company ALS service at Malvern Fire Company. After 13 years as a Paramedic, he then went to Medical School at PCOM followed by completion an Emergency Medicine residency at Conemaugh MMC. He started working as an EM and EMS physician at the now defunct Crozer Health system. In addition to his normal clinical and administrative work as Medical Director he services on a few special teams such as TEMS and US&R. He lives at home with his wife, Rebecca and 3 Boston Terriers, Lucy, Morris, and Piper.
