Daniel Ackerman

Our next speaker is Dr. Daniel Ackerman, Chief of Neurology and Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology at St. Luke's University Health Network. He is also the Program Director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship and a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at Lewis Katz School of Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Ackerman spends his days helping patients with stroke, migraine, and other neurologic disorders, and his nights trying to convince people that time is brain and you should call 911 when having a stroke. He has led stroke care initiatives across a large health system, participated in national clinical trials, and held leadership roles within the American Academy of Neurology. When he's not talking about brains, blood vessels, or imaging, he's reportedly trying to keep up with five children, multiple pets, and what he describes as "a whole lot of crazy nerd stuff."
