This program, following the Pennsylvania EMS protocol, will outline the importance of rehab operations at emergency scenes, and will discuss topics pertinent to establishing rehab, including equipment needs, responder medical parameters, logistical and operational concerns, pre-incident planning, training, and related issues surrounding rehab. The class will also analyze some emergency scene images to determine if rehab should be considered, and why. Participants will also discuss weather issues including heat indexes, wind chills, and other environmental factors and discuss the importance of hydration, rest and relaxation and overall themes.
