This is the story   of an 8 yo that had a stroke at school went to school nurse and c/o headache   and left hand weak. Laid down and weak on left side, EMS called and by the   time arrived to the ED totally flaccid with left sided involvement. Rec’d IV   tpa at LVH H under direction of ED team and LVH Peds neuro and then   transferred out.

  Fast forward – 6 months – Mom presented to LVH-H with acute onset of R sided   weakness and aphasia.

  What would cause different family members including a child to all have a   stroke?
